Birthday Month

I know my birthday was on the 9th of July but it has seemed to last all month. Every weekend I have done something for my birthday. This last weekend my friends Randee and Wendy wanted to take me out so we went to PF Chang ,my favorite, and then went and saw Hairspray. The movie was so funny. John Travolta in drag is a must see....every time he spoke Shelly and I were cracking up.

Oh and I feel like a success as a parent......my daughter likes to do dishes....definitely not from example....well I guess all the credit goes to my mom. Kacey helps her with the dishes. She hands her the spoons and forks and recently stands on the bottom (not so safe) and hands her the bowls and cups. It is so cute to watch and I actually got it on video!

I just had to post the classic spaghetti face. We usually just do noodles with butter and parm...due to the mess of tomato sauce....but after one taste of mine she was hooked so what the heck I gave her spaghetti with tomato and it was a mess. I have learned next time to feed her only with a diaper on!

She really enjoyed it!

Dollar Day at the Dallas Zoo!

I personally wouldn't recommend it! It was so freakin packed and sooooo hot! It was 95 which could be a lot worse in Texas....but for a pregnant lady add another 10 degrees. I just can't believe how many pregnant ladies were there....I am talking 7 or 8 months. They must have been even more miserable than me. Oh and on top of that I thought I was leaving the house with allergies....but turns out I was sick....so I was sneezing and blowing my nose the entire time. There was no parking so we had to cross a busy major hwy with 7 kids....I went with DD. Anyway the kids had fun....that's all that mattered. It was a good deal for just a $1 and they even had $1 hot dogs that were surprisingly big and juicy looking. I couldn't try one because I was just to dang hot to eat...but they all said how great they were...in fact Baranie finished everyone's off.

The monkey's were fun to watch....but the ape cage happened to be the highlight of the day. All the kids were looking in at the ape's up close through the glass enjoying the view....when all of the sudden their mother (DD) run's toward them screaming. I think she even scared the ape's because they quit what they were doing. They were mating!!!! But they were cut short with the scene that she made. It was pretty funny....because the kids didn't know what the heck was going on.

We all enjoyed a rainbow pop! Kacey did so good at holding it!

And this is how our trip ended!

Another Year has Come and Gone!!!!

I really just don't know where the time goes! I had to capture a picture of the first day of my 28th year of life!

I just can't believe I am 28. It really seemed like I was 23 forever..... and now all of the sudden I am 28. I had a good birthday....I wanted a day with no responsibility....so...my mom watched Kacey all day. As nice as it sounded to have no responsibility I totally missed her and had to peak in frequently. It was a nice day. I went and saw License to Wed with my sisters and went to Northpark with Mark for some shopping and then ate at Snuffer's....oh and I got lots of naps.

A day with Oma! Kacey had fun and has a hard time leaving her Oma. She loves to play in her kitchen....there is just so much for her to get into! Oh ya and Oma never says NO! Definitely a plus.

Happy 4th!!

We had a great 4th of July! Mark was actually off work this year but he was a little under the weather. We still managed to have a fun relaxing day. We went to see Live Free or Die Hard.....great movie if you like the Die Hards. Then we had a cook out at my parents with lots of swimming.

Kacey had a great nap before all the fun started!

Then she helped daddy with the BBQ.

Next was swim time.

She loves watching her cousins swing.

And of course....she ate all day long! She loves grapes...a little sour but good!
