Merry Christmas 2008!

We had a great Christmas!  I was sick on Christmas but it was still fun watching the kiddos!

Our Christmas morning.

Santa brought great gifts this year!  Both kids made out very well and I am ordered not to buy anymore toys for a long time.  We have run out of room!

Kacey acts like a rock star now with her guitar.

Her Oma got her a kitchen and these dolls bigger than her (Mickey and Minnie).

Aunt DD and family got Trent a cool leather race car jacket!

Aunt Lala got her a dress and a doll with a matching dress! So cute!

She helped pass out.

She got a ton of new food for her new kitchen.

A minnie mouse fan with sucker on bottom.  Thanks to Aunt DD she was able to find the sucker on bottom!

Uncle Aaron and Aunt Harm

We all went caroling before we opened gifts at the Bass family Christmas.  We had a huge group.  It was really fun.  The kids got to much to even mention it all.  It was a lot of fun and great to hang out with the whole family. Hope you all had a very Merry Christmas!

Birthday BOY!

Yesterday was Trent's 1st birthday!  We had a little family party on Saturday.  My camera batteries died so I only have a few pic's.  He had fun and actually tore into the cake unlike Kacey on her 1st.  He was poking the heck out of the poor little monkey!  He loved all eyes on him.
Kacey loved the party too!  She is claiming that all his toys are hers....so that's been fun.  Good thing Christmas is tomorrow...she will have toys of her own that I'm sure Trent will want!
I can't believe my baby is one....I guess I should start thinking about another!!!! J/K  hahahaha!

He is such a blessing and we are so lucky to have him as a part of our family!  It's been so neat watching him grow and express his own little personality.  He is a little tease and loves to get a rise out of anyone that lets him.  He cracks me up when he gets mad.  He shakes everything like he is shivering or something...funniest thing I've seen.

We love our little 1 year old and can't imagine life without him!

So much to write about!!!!! Beware long post!

We had a great Thanksgiving! It was a relief to take a short break from classes.

These pics are from Mark's family Thanksgiving. My camera won't download the Bass family pics.

Well....I am finally done with the prereq's for the nursing program and am now waiting to get in somewhere. I am applying to 3 different programs in hopes to get in one for the Fall 2009. This last semester was the worst. I took Chemistry, Microbiology, and Nutrition equaling 11 credit hours. I managed to pull off all A's and have yet to celebrate...maybe after the holiday's! This coming semester I am taking two really easy classes and just studying for the entrance exams and hanging with the kids. It will be nice!

Kacey loved helping with the Christmas tree!

This is the end product! All balls in one blob.

Yes I did! Buy them matching jammies!!!!! So cute! They were for Christmas Eve but I couldn't wait!

Mark's work had a kid friendly Christmas fun night at Willowbend mall. We got to hear the Polar Express story and eat California Pizza Kitchen (Chicken BBQ the best). We also got a free picture with Santa. It was fun.

Trying to get a good family pic.....yahhh right!!!

Mark's work party....not so kid friendly Christmas party!

Wrapping contest at party.....Mark didn't win!

Supposed to be a butterfly but she messed with it to much.

Before the party!

Hanging out!

My favorite!!! We put these letters high and he just has to get them!

Kacey wanted a pic of her and Dora and Donald!(she made me)

The first project I had to finish when school ended was the fireplace....it has only taken 10 months! It was originally black and I thought I didn't want black so that is the first thing I did upon moving in....long story short it was a big mess and now after completing it I ABSOLUTELY HATE IT....but I am not redoing it and in all honesty I think it would look best its original color! Oh well....here are some pictures. I attempted crackle paint but think it is truly impossible to work with. Someday I may just pay someone to do it!

After....looks ok with stuff on it. Must find year around decor!!!!

Not original but how it's looked the past 10 months.

Dallas Arboretum and Happy Halloween!!

This year we went to the Dallas Arboretum instead of the pumpkin patch and the kids loved it and it wasn't as crowded. We went on a day they happened to be doing a free petting zoo, face painting, trick-or-treating and a great hay maze. Both of the kids really enjoyed it.

We went trick-or-treating in our new neighborhood and had so much fun. We had a block party and got to meet some neighbors and then hit up the houses for candy! Kacey got so much and Trent had fun watching all the crazies out. We actually had people handing out full candy bars in the neighborhood. Mark was pretty excited because since they're big he told Kacey they're for him! It was a blast!

Trent was our little doggy (his outfit actually barked) and Kacey was a fairy princess. She actually let me curl her hair and put makeup on her! The only condition was that she could watch Dora while I did it. They were both actually in there costumes all day. Waiting for it to be late enough for the fun!

Fueling up for the festivities!

Tired fairy princess!

Checking and sorting the goods! Trent is so thankful for all of Kacey's hard work!!

Bundles of Joy!

So I guess I am now starting to blog once a month. I just started school again and have taken more classes at once than I ever have. I am hoping I can just get through this semester and then I will get a break! Despite being busy I am enjoying every moment I have with my kiddos! They are such a wonderful blessing and I just don't know what I would do without them. It is so frustrating to stay home with them sometimes but I honestly wouldn't have it any other way. They are always putting a smile on my face and can make just about any situation fun.

Trent is just about allergic to everything...it seems and this little punk stole a twinky off the table at our friends house while we were watching the Cowboys play. Surprisingly he had no allergic reaction but made a huge mess. Oh and if you can't tell he really liked it!

Trent's also having to fight for some playtime.....Kacey always has to do what he's doing and vice versa!

I got some new toys from a garage sale and Kacey just had to play with them in the rain!

Labor Day Weekend!

Labor Day weekend we were lucky enough to have Mark for all three days in a row! The kids were loving it!!! We went to the Rough Riders game, fed the ducks, hung out and read lots of books to Kacey, bike riding, 4- wheeling, saw Mark's dad preach on Sunday, swam, cooked out and the most memorable for Kacey was feeding the cows!
Our alley neighbors have a large lot of land with cows on it. Every time Mark mows the lawn we take the grass over and get the cows to come to the fence. Well this time they were on the other side of the land so we drove around trying to find a closer spot to the cows. After some convincing Mark asked people with a house nearby and it ended up being their land and they let us in the gate. Kacey was a little scared but she liked it because she is still mentioning it. The cows ate right out of the truck bed.

Licking grass off Mark's toes.

Peace offering!!!

Opting for shade over freshly cut grass.

Kacey just wanted to watch.
